What to expect at your visit

  1. 1. Warm welcome. We review your health history, medications, and anything that's been on your mind since your last visit.
  2. 2. Gentle cleaning. Your hygienist removes plaque and tartar, polishes your teeth, and flosses — all at a pace that works for you.
  3. 3. Doctor exam. Your dentist checks for cavities, gum disease, and early signs of oral cancer, then walks you through any findings on a chairside monitor.
  4. 4. Clear next steps. If treatment is recommended, we explain the "why," the options, and the cost — no pressure, no surprises.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I come in for a cleaning?
Most patients do best with a professional cleaning and exam every six months. Some patients with gum disease or other risk factors benefit from more frequent visits — your hygienist will make a personalized recommendation.
Do you see children?
Yes. We welcome patients of every age and take extra time with kids to make sure their first dental experiences are calm and positive.
Will my insurance cover a checkup?
Most dental plans cover two preventive visits per year at little to no out-of-pocket cost. Our front desk will verify your benefits before your appointment and walk through anything that isn't covered.
What if you find a cavity?
We'll show you what we see, explain your options, and only recommend treatment that's truly needed. Small cavities are typically restored the same day with a tooth-colored filling.
